As soon as i can get back online I will join Du Arc. Who ever said they were a lover not a fighter has never felt the love of fighting.

I went with House Gaiana. I chose mostly because of the wiki stuff I do. I wonder of Zakone would be more appropriate? In real life I would belong to Cosca, cuz I love the club!

I went with Gaiana, mainly because I like the backstory behind the house, and their whole philosophy towards the vampirism. Of all the houses, they seem to embody the image of the wise, ancient matriarch and her noble-minded, loyal subjects, which I always like in a vampire story. (Hoo, lookit me gettin' all deep.) In all honesty though, I was REEEEALLY tempted by the hedonistic Cosca lifestyle. >_> UNCE UNCE UNCE

Also I thought about joining the White Crows but then I remembered that the White Crow NPCs in the Narrows were all buttheads to me. :C

Well, being an engineer in rl and loving everything techy and geeky, could my vampire have joined anything besides Zakone? ;)

House Gaiana all the way. :) I'm a history major/literature minor in real life, and having studied all the mythology of vampires I can get my hands on from all cultures, it was the obvious choice for me. I also feel like the story line with them is the strongest, with the most likeable characters. Cosca is too "You owe us and if you try to leave we'll kill you", Du Arc was tempting but something about them gave me a sort of "If this was a book, you'd be the mastermind behind the evil, wouldn't you?" feel, Zarkone had likeable characters but the origins of it had me hesitant. White Crow was a no go from the start because they're such jerks. Rebelling against Xelco I get...rebelling against all the houses, not so much. So Gaiana it is, even with the events in the plotline. ;)

So you are asking me, young Vampires, which House I belong to? You want to hear my story?

Well, I will tell you, if you wish, but do fetch a glass of wine. We ancients tend to talk long, and you young ones are so impatient!

I was born in the year of the fourth cattle census of King Khnemu-khufwy. Ah, right, I have forgotten, these years, you do have a different system of recording years ... Let it suffice to say that I was born in the mid-3rd century BC in Memphis, the flourishing capital of the Beloved Land, the Black Land, my Egypt. I was born to Hemet and Imhotep, my father indeed a distant descendant of the builder of the very first pyramid. My name was Nofret, and I became a priestess of the goddess of love, Hathor.

Merry were the times of singing and rattling our sistra in the temple ... I was young, I was happy, I was privileged and lived a happy, fulfilled life. As a priestess I was spared the hardships of childbearing and family life that made most women die before they reached thirty years of age ...

Then one day, as I was praying to my goddess, she came to me. Beatiful and majestic, her eyes betrayed an age beyond imagination. Hathor, my goddess, came to me, and offered me eternal life.

What was I to do? My parents were long gone to Imperishable Stars, where only the King could go, but I knew my father would find a way to join him, and I was all alone in the world, save my goddess... It did sound odd when she said she would have to bite me ... but still, to be with my goddess, for all eternity? I was all too happy to agree.

The following years were agony. Hathor had forsaken me, left me all alone in a hostile world and in a condition I did not understand. Ever-thirsty for human blood, I could neither think, nor feel. Many an Egyptian stood trial because of the killing by my fangs, and I felt neither shame nor pity. I cursed my goddess, and knew, deep in the blackness of my soul, there were no gods, just demons to haunt us all.

For almost three thousand years I roamed the surface of the Earth, trying to find peace, wisdom and comfort. I devoted myself to the study of all things human. History, philosophy, languages, religions, psychology ... I knew somewhere, there had to be an answer to who and what I was. Nofret, the Beautiful, I was no more. I restrained my longing for human blood, as much as I could, and tried to feed on murderers and other criminals to calm the conscience that gnawed within me.

When I was about to give up, I met, in a forsaken piece of Earth, a very special woman. Her name was Gaiana, and she was what I was. A blood-craver I used to call it. She was young, but wise and courageous, and her feeling of justice and morality was strong and clear. She had been a part of a community of Vampires, as I learned we were called, and, seeing the ancient knowledge I held, she agreed to accept me into that community, despite me being – as she called it – wild. And when I overcame my habits of old and became a full-fledged member of the Vampiric society, Gaiana even gave me a name, a name that in the language of the wise men of her youth means Reborn. Thus, I became Re-nata.

And that I am, ever since. Reborn to new life and new world, I am Renata, a warrior and keeper of the ancient wisdom of House Gaiana.

That, Vampire youngligs, is my story. These days, I am often gone from New Valencia for long periods of time. I am on quests searching for ancient records, for few in the Vampiric world know their languages, or suspect their location ...

Gaiana appealed to me though my story is not as rich of that of the draconianwarrior.........it felt right to me but it good to be in a house of elders

Renata's post is amazing as I've already said in the art+story section. I'm very stuck between Gaiana, DuArc, and Zacone. At least from the main storyline they seem to be working together somewhat. But all three have features which I can identify with. I'm with DuArc for now because I'm a Elder Master of slaying all manner of creatures, and a student of war, but I also use ancient studies and history (Gaiana) as well as new methods of technology, using everything at my disposal to ironically dispose of any threat and enemy.

DEATH TO THE WHITE CROWS!

hehe, sorry susan :P

Sandro, here: http://www.cityofeternals.com/lore/the-vampire-houses/ is the info about the 4 houses and the rebel group.

Chosing a house does not change the abilities of your character or chances to interact with others. It's more of a personal statement.

I choose Zakone~~ rockets... and I'm hoping some zepplin and submarine technology in there too...

I was a little disappointed the backstory didn't have them going back even older. So I'll assume that some sections of the house go back a few generations to renaissance and clock automata technology.

I'll probably house jump a bit too in the future... I probably won't be white crow or DuArc for a while, since white crows NPC beat me up and we started in Du Arc.
