ohai all! If you're here, you're probably wondering exactly how to go about using this awesome forum you see all around you. It can be a bit confusing at first, so we've created a quick guide to get you started!

Just click the "Connect with Facebook" button in the upper right hand corner of the forums! The first time you login, you'll have to choose a username. Be careful! You won't be able to change this later, so make sure you pick something you like.

The next time you want to log in, just click that "Connect with Facebook" button again and it will automatically use the username you chose!

Just use the "Search" box at the top of the forums! You can type in anything you like and it will bring you a list of topics related to your search. So, if you're having problems connecting, just type "connection problems" and you'll see posts made by other players having similar problems.

Just click the "Post Reply" button at either the top or the bottom of the post. This will make sure that your reply stays with the current topic.

Just click on the "New Topic" button at the top of the forum! Certain forums will not allow you to post new topics (such as Getting Started), in which case this option will be unavailable.

You can change some of the styling of your post by making things bold, changing the color or adding smilies using a system called bbcode. It's a lot easier than it might seem, and there's a guide to get you started right here!

There are no guidelines for what a post should look like, but you're going to get a lot more people to read a tasteful post than one that has too many smilies or too much styling. If you want to take a look before you submit it to the board, hit the "Preview" button. Once it looks exactly like you'd envisioned, hit "Submit" so that everyone else can see it.

Just click on the "Edit" button in the upper right hand corner of your post. If you don't see it, that means that it has been disabled for topics or replies in that forum.

If your post has gotten buried by new posts before it was answered, you can bring it to the top of the list by hitting the "Bump Topic" link at the very bottom of the post. You will have to wait 24 hours before being able to use this option, however.

Please do not bump your posts by replying to your own posts with "bump" or any other unnecessary replies!

You can edit your profile by clicking on the User Control Panel link at the top of the board. You can edit things like your interests, your contact information, and your location. If you're not sure what to do, check out this faq.

If you want to change your avatar photo, you will need to do so in your profile settings on Facebook. Once you do, it should automatically update.

The different colors refer to different groups on the forums. ohai staff are always in red, moderators (mods) are always in green, and in-game helpers (GMs) are always in blue.

The moderators are posters who have volunteered to help keep the boards organized and answer some posts. They are not ohai staff members! If you want more information about the moderators, you can read about them on the Forum Rules.

In-game helpers are players who have volunteered to help with the player community in City of Eternals itself. They have no abilities to change posts or organize the boards, but they are often on hand to help answer questions or plan events, so look for their posts to find out what's going on!
