I'm assuming you mean on the forums? They are likely indexing our message boards for their search engines...

Ah, Ok, I was just curious, it'd be cool if those of us who have one or the other messenger could add the bot to know of updates, instead of update emails?...just get update msn msgs...

Humm, I was looking up what those bots do, and it is all about finding things for their analogous search engine.

Unfortunately, other than letting them into the forum, I can't actually do anything with the bots. They're just for various search engines. Sorry!

the thing about those bots is that they just have pre-programmed tasks

They are designed to search for content to add to their services database for future search results. Try a search for grflood and you will see the result of the bots coming onto the forum. Ohai has allowed the bots access to the forum to increase exposure for CoE.

So, I don't think the Forum creators would have anything to do with changing what the bots do, we would have to go straight to MSN or Google for that...
