So, anyone got an idea for a gathering or player event? Maybe you've been thinking of killer Valentine's Day parties or something nice for that special sweetheart? Post it here and let's see what everyone is thinking!

So in connection to the Wiki i have been on the hunt for event and contest ideas also. Here are a few that have been mentioned to me. Some are in the development stages at the wiki. I did not come up with any of these, so please excuse me if I butcher the idea you gave me


In Game:
1) A Fashion show for all types. Possibly including some sort of prizes (maybe some folks getting to try out new fashions on lone from the Ohai store).

2) Scavenger hunts (or possibly find that Ohai staffer or Archivist)

3) kill'em all party (would involve some sort of new group mission type thing in somewhere like central park, where a lot of low level monsters are released. kind of like the zombie shoppers in commercial district. there could be teams and kill counts not sure of the feasibility.. but its an idea!)

Forum/wiki related
1)A fashion creation contest (this would involve a long period of contestant submitted artwork, the contestants would be creating original art that could be in any medium, but would have to be posted electronically either to the wiki or the forum {which could mean pictures of a dress one made, or a scanned in picture of a drawing or painting}. After an allotted amount of time the community could vote for the one they like the best. The prize would be that the Ohai team would actually make the garment to be purchased or made in CoE, and name it after the contestant).

2) Weapon creation contest (this would be extremely similar to the fashion contest only for weapons)

3) Monster Creation Contest (I'm going to end with this creation contest, as I think it is becoming apparent there could be a contest for almost any type of thing in the game )

My final entry into the idea pool is a house design contest, this could be a combination forum/wiki and in-game. The houses would be designed and prepared in game, we could possibly post pictures of these houses on the Forums or wikis, then have a vote. The winner's house becomes something... maybe a new-mini zone or something....

I support a fashion show~ that would be fun, seeing all the outfits. Someone was talking about wanting one earlier, was it Lutz or Judy ?

the scavenger hunt was for people was fun but Q&A games are fun too, for seeing everyone in one place.

Hmm contests?
Eesh, there's a billion.

Art Contests:
Best hand drawn or computer rendered pictures/art/etc

Video Contests:
Best In-Game video, in-game music video, Trailer, etc.

Music Contests:
Best original composition, or remix for the game.

Machinima Contests:
Best In-game video acting with voice over work, etc. I always love Machinima contests.

Lore(story) Contests:
Best story/back story/history story, in "Character".

Scavenger-Hunt Contests:
This would require Ohai's assistance, as you would need a specific item/person in a specific place, and give out clues to players.

Hide & Seek Contests: (tough to do with teleport)
Hide in a zone and give clues until found.

Races:
Race across the City to specific locations.

Quizzes:
Test game history, knowledge, etc.

Fashion shows/contests:
Best dressed, most weirdly dressed, etc.

Obstacle Course Contests:
Clear an instance the fastest, 1 person at a time, or more. Say you go in teamed with a player, and time them from 'Ready....GO!' till clear. And just go through the list of participants and the top times win.

We need to get another contest going, let us know what you think would be fun!
